In celebration of NADOC week, Kim Walmsely, an Aboriginal artist, shared with the audience the significance of NAIDOC and success stores of Aboriginals. Guests at the Friendship Dinner were entertained to a very lively performance by 'Sing Australia'.
In conjunction with the celebration of Vesak Day on 24 May 2013, the Pure Land Learning College Association had been invited to share with UNESCO ambassadors and other delegates the 'Vision of Helping Toowoomba Become a Model City of Peace and Harmony' at UNESCO Headquarters.

The meditation class for beginners led by Venerable We Chyuan commenced on 2 February. The response was overwhelming and it was an experiential learning for many. In addition, we celebrated Chinese New Year reunion dinner with the community. It was a fun and entertaining night with our special guests.
Welcome Year of the Snake! Celebrations for Chinese New Year, lasting a full fifteen days, start on the 10 February 2013. The presence of the ancestors is acknowledged on Chinese New Year's Eve with a reunion dinner.
